    Ever since its origin and later man has enjoyed the natural resources and has adversely affected the environment in due course of civilization and economic growth. The greed beyond the need and the attitude of consumerism of mankind have brought the environment today at a critical juncture. Various anthropogenic activities like urbanization, industrialization, mining, chemical based agriculture, deforestation, habitat destruction, introduction of exotic species, overexploitation etc. have brought us to an alarming stage where there is no point of return without proper conservation strategy. The environment needs conservation to provide sustainability and survival of man. Keeping the present plight of environment the focus of strategy for betterment has changed from Stockholm to Rio- 2.The present conference being organized in the capital city of Jharkhand, which is very rich in natural resources both above and below the ground, to discuss conservation strategy in context of globalization and local situation ranging from gene to ecosystem.


    St. Xavier&s College, Ranchi established in 1944 by the Society of Jesuits is now a leading centre of higher education in the country. Now the college is autonomous with CPE and has more than ten thousand students on its roll and more than 150 faculty members. The college imparts education on UG and PG level apart from certificate and vocational courses.     ABOUT Ranchi

    Ranchi is the capital city of Jharkhand state. It is known as city of falls. The weather during the conference will be pleasant. Ranchi is well connected from different parts of the country by air and railways. Direct trains are available from cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderadad, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Kamakhya, Ajmershariff, Gorakhpur Jammu, Chandigarh, Amritsar etc. There are two stations in the city- Ranchi Rly Station and Hatia Rly Station. Participants will be received from both the stations as informed earlier.


    The National Environmentalists Association (Registration under society Act 21/1860 and U/S 80 g of Income Tax) is chartered in Ranchi as a nonprofit scientific and educational association of like-minded Academicians, Researchers, Scientists from all over the nation for furtherance and diffusion of knowledge in Life Sciences in general and Environmental Sciences in particular. Started in 1988, the National Environmentalists Association has been reorganized in 2006 and now is an association functioning with full vigor and new impetus to meet its objectives with the co-operation of like-minded environment-conscious-academicians from different parts of India.     Abstracts should be data oriented reflecting the major findings of the paper. Theoretical paper and abstract should be avoided. Abstracts for and presentations (size approx. 2'X 3', limited to 2 sheets) should be within the themes. The abstracts will be accepted in electronic form by A separate printed abstract with registration fee must reach the conference Secretariat before last date.     A pre-conference proceedings volume as a special volume of will be published and released during the inaugural function of the conference. We invite authors to submit original full length papers of the abstracts accepted for conference by E-mail before 07-10-18 . Manuscripts submitted will be reviewed and selected papers will be published with nominal reprint cost on first come first serve basis.     Young Scientist Award (below 35 years of age) Senior Scientists Award above 35 years of age and Best Poster Presentation Award will be given after due evaluation in specific session. The Young Scientist Award carries a cash prize of Rs. 5000 (Five thousand), a memento and a certificate while the Senior Scientist Award and Best Poster Presentation Award carry a memento and a certificate. The awards shall be announced and presented in the closing session of the conference. Those who wish to participate in competitive session should submit a full length paper before the last date and clearly super scribe that the abstract is for competitive session, Proof of Age as well as certificate from place of working is essential.
